Lemon Bar Recipe

Annie will show you how to make our family recipe for Lemon Bars. Lemon Bars are a wonderful recipe to have in your list of favorite desserts for all occasions, but in our family they are a staple around the holidays. These delicious, soft melty bar cookies are sure to bring a smile to your next family gathering or pot luck!

Full Recipe:

2 cup flour
2 sticks melted salted butter
1 cup powdered sugar
In a mixing bowl combine flour and powdered sugar and pour melted butter over and mix. Press down firmly to make crust in bottom of 9x13 pan. Bake 20 minutes at 350 degrees.

While crust is baking, mix together:
4 slightly beaten eggs
2 c granulated sugar
1/2 cup lemon juice

Then combine 1/4 cup flour and a pinch of salt and 1 teaspoon of baking powder. Add this to egg mixture and mix well until the lumps dissolve. Pour over hot baked crust. Bake 25 mins at 350 degrees. Cool and sprinkle with powdered sugar. Enjoy!
